Emma “Marksie” Marks is a Detroit based private chef. Her career began almost two decades ago in New York, where she gained hospitality experience in the coffee industry working as a roaster and barista. In 2017 she moved to Michigan to complete a degree in Culinary Arts from Schoolcraft College. There, she learned classical and contemporary technique from a number of Certified Master Chefs. Since then she has worked in fine dining kitchens around metro-Detroit, including several James Beard winners and nominees. She is a Certified Culinarian with the ACF.
